Hi to all,

I can not log in to the MD using the telnet command. I may log in to use the niux command but I ma unable to reach to the MML commands. The PBX answers me with a login rejected phrase.
I have also had problems when activating the fourth port of the NIU card with the IOEQI command (usage=mml and type=network), it answers me with "NOT ACCEPTED POSITION NOT EQUIPPED".

Thanks in advance for your help.

Robin

Hi !
Your problem, was this kind:
"I have also had problems when activating the fourth port of the NIU card with the IOEQI command (usage=mml and type=network), it answers me with "NOT ACCEPTED POSITION NOT EQUIPPED".
Try to check this commands:

IOBPI:NODE=SYSN,BPOS=1-0-60;
IOEQI:IODEV=SYSMML,EQU=1-0-60-4,USAGE=MML,AUTH=7,TYPE=NETWORK;

<IODDP;
I/O DEVICE DATA
NODE IODEV/ BPOS/EQU SIPOS TYPE/USAGE STATUS AUTH
SYSN - 001-0-60 - - IN SERVICE
SYSN SYSMML 001-0-60-4 - NETWORK/MML - 7
END

Hi!

This is nopt the answer to my problem, in fact the command
IOBPI:NODE=SYSN,BPOS=1-0-60;
it seems to me to me unhelpful cause it is used to initialize an I/O Board when, I am connecting through it!!!!
I still keep on waiting for a right answer from somewhere in the rest of the world!!!!!
The second line you wrote:
IOEQI:IODEV=SYSMML,EQU=1-0-60-4,USAGE=MML,AUTH=7,TYPE=NETWORK;
is the one I always type and from where I receive the
"NOT ACCEPTED POSITION NOT EQUIPPED" sentence.

Waiting for news,
Robin

can you supply an IODDP print out so we can see how the NIU card is set at the moment then we wont be guessing the answer

The messages I receive are:
IODDP;
I/O DEVICE DATA
NODE IODEV/SUBFS BPOS/EQU SIPOS TYPE/USAGE STATUS AUTH
SYSN - 001-0-60 - - IN SERVICE
SYSN SYSDISK1 001-0-60-0 3 teac IN SERVICE
SYSSUBFS11
SYSSUBFS21
SYSN SYSTERMINAL 001-0-60-1 - MML - 7
SYSN TERMINAL1 001-0-60-2 - MML - 7
SYSN TERMINAL2 001-0-60-3 - MML - 7
END

<IONPP;
NETWORK PORT CONFIGURATION DATA
EQU IP GATE MASK ETHERNET
001-0-60-4 192.168.100.68 192.168.100.34 255.255.255.0 00.80.37.8E.36.E6
END

<IOEQI:IODEV=TERMINAL3,EQU=1-0-60-4,TYPE=NETWORK,USAGE=MML,AUTH=7;
NOT ACCEPTED
POSITION NOT EQUIPPED

I don't know if you may get something from these sentences, I hope so!

When I try to telnet, this is what I receive:

login: SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS;
Login Rejected
>login: SSSSSSSSSSS
username ? > MDUSER
password ? >
niux >

Hi !
robinlemerre

sorry about wrong answer..
Can you try these..
at first:
IOEQI:IODEV=SYS1,EQU=1-0-60-4,USAGE=OUT,TYPE=NETWORK;

and next.
IOEQI:IODEV=SYSMML,EQU=1-0-60-4,USAGE=MML,AUTH=7,TYPE=NETWORK;

Hi
robinlemerre

can you supply a cnlip:lim=1,dev=yes; so i can see if the card has started ok
and a LIDAP you have said that you have a full set of license's but just want to check as what you are doing is good it should work ok

the bad news is you could have corruption in one of the programme units that handle the niu if this is the case you may need to talk to your Ericsson supplier as they need to end the niu and all its programming.
But they need to install a second NIU or IPU so they can still talk the system as removeing the main NIU will leave you unable to connect to the system

this all sounds very confusing but lets hope this is not the case

Try this

ioeqi:iodev=terminal3,equ=1-0-60-04,type=network;

if you leave out USAGE it defaults to MML and if you leave out AUTH it defaults to 7

It looks like that you have less number of individuals. Check it by cnbip:dev=yes; you will have probably 4.
Try this:
cnboc:bpos=1-0-60,brdnam=NIU,numind=16;
