Since I updated several clients to windows 2000 and new-installed the inoculan server on another w2k machine, i am faced by some problems:
-The Virus-Domain-Server autodownloads the signatures, but does'nt updates himself (though the win98-clients are updated)
-when configuring the realtime-options on either the clients or the server by clicking the tray-icon, i get the error message "could not save real time options" when leaving, but the changes seems to be made, when clicking the tray-icon a second time
-NT-Remote isnt capable of installing the software to other w2k-hosts. when i try to remote-install inoculateit 4.53, I get the error
&quot;Launching on remote [<path>silent.exe]
Error launching remote process [2]&quot; written in the logfile.
i have no idea, what that means, but am capable of installing the software manually by first running silent.bat and then setup.exe by hand.

forget about the third of the three problems i mentioned:
I managed to install the software on a remote-pc via a little script (without the assistence of remotent). but the damned machine (w2k) won't update its virus-signature. the av-server logs
&quot;Failed to distribute the update files for (German - NTINTEL) from (<host-id>). Reason: source listing file is locked (5)&quot;
what the hell does that mean? i found an article related to that particular topic in altavista, but the link was broken :-(((
any suggestions
