Problems setting up a 4690 conference phone

it seems that i can't get the 4690 IP conference Phone to work with s8720 server. I've setup an alias as the 4690 doesn't have a setting on our level of software 3.1 so it was suggested that we used the 4620. The phone has registered to the 8720 but we are not getting any dial tone when you press the hook button. We did a list trace on the extension and dialled it from another phone and we get the following:

12:27:11 reorder station 372598 cid 0x23a4
12:27:11 denial event 2309: Drop call codec mismatch D1=0x7f002395 D2=0x23a4
12:27:18 idle station 699007 cid 0x23a4

I have checked the codecs and both are set to G.711.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you know what version of code the 4690 is on? Due to a different type of issue, I was forced to fallback to the 1.770 (from 2.005) code for the 4690's which fixed my issues. You may want to give that a try.

Hi Randyb19, Thanks for your reply. I mananged to put version 2 of the software on the 4690 yesterday afternoon and this seems to have resolved the dial tone issue but unfortunatly it won't pick up the DHCP settings and you have to enter in a static IP. Looking at the notes for version 2 this looks to be a known problem.
