Problems Removing Norton Secrurity Software 2

I am trying to install Norton Internet Security 2007, but this won't install until I remove the old version. Problem is when I try to remove it with Change/Remove the product just greys out and no confirmation button appear. I have disabled the programmes and switched everything off in Services that I can see is Symantec/Norton, but to no avail.

Can anyone suggest a way to resolve this, and is there a Symantec tech support number to call since they don't appear to answer emails.

Are you logged in as local Administrator? Try booting into Safe Mode (press F8 at boot-up) as Administrator and removing it there.
