Hi, I am having difficulties installing 2 PCI network cards on my desktop machine in SCO 5.05.

I need to install 2 network cards, 1 to run TCP/IP the other to run IPX/SPX - I can install 1 ok and I can ping remote hosts etc and rcp files to and fro. When I try to install the 2nd Nic I get the following error...
kslgen:cannot determine major/minor numbers for node /dev/mdi/ngr1

I can install each card independantly of each other but not both together ?!?! please help

TIA

I would try to install one card and get it running, maybe the tcp/ip part. Then install a second card of a different type, say a 3com or something. It may be possible that 2 cards by the manufacturer in question are not supported for some reason. Maybe a bad driver. 3com cards should work for you.

Good luck,

Troy
