I'm stumped on how to get the front and back page of my wedding program aligned properly. I print 1 side, then put the paper back into the printer, but the two sides always end up 1/16 in off on the long axis (width).

When I measure the length of the space between the edge of the paper and the printed area of the document the document is always slightly shifted to the right (i.e. down in landscape printing).

I've got color to the edge of the final document, and need to score it, so I want to be able to see the crop marks (crop marks and registration marks).

My document settings are as follows:
Document Setup
Width: 10in
Height: 7.5in

Bleed: Top, Bottom, Left, Right: 0.125in, 0.125in, 0.125in, 0.125in

What am I doing wrong?

Please ask questions if my information isn't clear enough above.

Are you printing at home on a desktop printer? If so it may be something to do with your printer and it not being professional quality (i.e. it's just not as accurate as a professional printer).

I have the same type of thing happen at home, and I usually get round it manually (measuring the printout, holding it up to the light etc), but if you have a lot to do you may find it a lot easier (although more expensive) to get your local copy shop to do it for you...

Whether it is a home or professional printer, it still has its own print settings that are independent of InDesign's print output settings. Make sure that you configure both.

Thanks. I'm printing on a home printer. I do the same trick of holding it up to the light to make sure that it is aligned, I just can't quite seem to get it right.

I'll look into the possibility that it is the settings on the printer, too.

Note: I'm using WinXp and a Canon Pixma iP6600.
