problems making a slideshow

i have 200 still images (jpeg) that i want to make into a simple slideshow using premiere. i re-sized the images to 720X480 using photoshop. however wheni import the jpegs to premiere, the images are stretched vertically (ie, everyone in the pictures look skinnier).

how do i maintain the dimensions??

nevermind.. i figured it out! i guess making the original jpg 648X480 doesnt stretch the pic.
 
Not ideal to resize and then save in JPEG again because every time you save a JPEG after editing you degrade the image due to the lossy compression. Better to use a bit more disk space and save in PSD or TIF or other lossless format that can be used in Premiere.
