I run a very large telecom network and have lurked in these forums for years. I have run into a problem that I simply cannot find info on so it was a good time to stop lurking and join the forum.
Our central switch is a 4 cabinet Avaya G3R11 that acts like a CO for the other switches. It has 3000 DIDs running into it that it routes to dozens of PBXs via T1's.
We had added a new switch a few years ago but never tried to integrate to the DCS network since it was using a stand alone vmail system. That vmail system is on its last legs so I decided that the time was right to bring it into the network.
I added trunk and signal groups, renumbered the stations to fit the dialplan, added them to the UDP tables, created route patterns for the calls and everything is working well. The names and station numbers come across just fine but I cannot for the life of me, figure out why I am unable to use Leave Word Calling to turn lights on and off at the remote site.
Users at the remote site can use the feature code to turn lights on and off just fine. I can use feature codes to turn lights on and off at any of the other sites. Trying to use LWC (which is what the vmail system uses) will not work from the central site to the remote site. It tries to access the correct trunk group but gets wave off/busy signal when dialing the access code.
The central switch is a Avaya Definity G3R11 using a TN 464 F at both ends. The far end switch is an Avaya G650/S8400 Ver 3.1. The Vmail system is a AVST CallXpress that has both standard and D82 Integration on 128 ports.
I have done the good old fashioned "Stare and Compare" with a working site that has the exact same config but so far, I have not a clue.
Thoughts anyone? Beuller?
Cheers,
