I have a computer directly connected to my PBX, but I need to access the PBX from a remote location also. I already installed and configured a modem at the pbx. Now the company that I hire to service my system can and has accessed my system using EMML rel.15. The problem is that I can't access it remotely. I have robotics sportster modems at each end. I set up and configured my modem exactly like the service company did. I done the EMML set up the same too. I used the same modem as they did. The only thing I have different is my computer, they are using windows 2000 and I am using 98. I don't see why that would make a diff.,but it might. My remote modem is connecting with the other modem but will not let me get in to the PBX and then it shows "connection failure". I did everything like they did..could the problem be the windows 98 driver? I tried the US Robotics driver too. The service co. used the existing driver with the windows 2000. Help!!!!

I access many F9600 I use Procom Plus and I use MML instaed of EMML connect thru Procom would be 7 even and 1 9600baud
you need to know the commands such as dis slt,,xxxx

I can set it up that way and get it to work, but that's not what I want. I want the EMML. I am going to try using windows 2000, but I wish I could get this computer to access it with windows 98.

Set the USR modems to lock down to 9600 baud.
AT&N6&U6Y0s1=1&w0, dip switches 1,3,8 down.
ATI4 or ATI5 will show the modem settings.

Thank you ksphoneman!!!!! I really appreciate your help. It is working now. I knew I was missing something small, but I could not get it. Nobody else could help me either. Once again, THANKS!!!!!
