Problems backing up Registry

Im currently having problems backing up the reg on an NT machine. I'm running ARCserveIT 6.61. The backup starts and continues to run....but never ends. It seems that it continuously tries to backup certain files in the reg, and keeps looping back to them. The last thing I did to the machine is to add a Symantec A/V utility.

Anyone give me a hand?
