I used to have before a 56 kbps dialup internet connection on a W2k server and everytime I want others to see my work on Active Server Pages, I type ipconfig and send them my "live" ip address.

But when I had an ADSL connection, I could no longer do the same because my w2kserver internet connection came from the router.

Is there anyone that can help me?

thanks a lot.

What was returned by the link you gave is the ip address of my router.

What I need to know is the IP of my w2k server which obtain its ip address from the router.

It is your public IP address, your router's IP is on the private LAN side.

If you need the LAN side address of your Win2k server, go to the server and from a command session type ipcongif /all.

Or you can type nbtstat -a win2kservername from your workstation.
