I have a document which has been registered as a Web Document and therefore when i go to save any changes to it I only get two options in the file menu - Save and Save as Web page. Why is this and can it be modified.?
Why is this? Because it was saved as a web document and can't be "reverted back". I suspect Word cannot clean out any html that's been added. It would help to know what version of Word.
Like files that are converted to PDF, you should maintain a copy of html files FIRST as Word documents, then as html docs. Then, when you need to make a change, you change the Word doc version, save it, then save as to html again.
I'm using Word 2000 but the problem is happening with all new documents. The only two options I get are 'save' and 'save as web page' - no save as. sorry for any confusion.
