Problem with Windows XP

Hello Guys,

I am facing some problem with my windows xp for last 2 days. It boots perfectly comes to the user loh in screen where we have our personalised set up the particular user , once the pass word is keyed in it shows the bar as setting the personalized setting for the user and does that for around 10 minutes,

then eventualy it comes to the desktop, but the windows start menue on the left hand down corner and all the start up bar on bottom and the icons on the right hand down corner is missing the system is hanging and i am able to open some application but the copy functionality etc are not working.

can any one let me know what may be the reason and how to solve it.

Cause: This behaviour may occur if some of your System files are corrupted.

Solution: If you have the Windows XP CD handy, then go ahead and try running a repair install of Windows XP. In order to do that you need to boot off the CD(when you are prompted to press any key to boot from the CD) then press enter on the first screen where it says press enter to install Windows XP.Then accept the license agreement and then it will prompt you to press R for a repair install

Since this is a repair install of Windows XP, you will not lose any data or drivers at all.All your data would be intact.However you will lose all the Windows updates that you have donw so far.

Hi ,

Yes i could repair my windows with teh repir option ... But i deleted few of the drivers of the ADSl MODEM etc ... but it ok i could retrive most of it .. any way thanks for the help.
