Has anyone else noticed with 4.2 Vmail you can no longer choose the drive and directory to install vmail?

We always partition the hard drive, leaving core windows on the C, and the IPO applications on the D partition.

After the upgrade from 4.1.x to 4.2, Vmail is in C:\Program Files\Avaya (with some remnants on the D drive).

I also noticed during the set up of 4.2, vmail automatically points to c:\program files\Avaya, but does not allow the destination to be changed.

I can so you have a small problem
It is not removed from vmpro !

tlpeter,

Did you do this on a NEW install, or an UPGRADE? The problem I am having is with upgrades from 4.1. Seen this twice now...

I had the same issue on an upgrade. VM was installed on the D drive, when I upgraded the vm it automatically installed it on the C Drive. I had to uninstall vm and install the 4.2 version back on to the D Drive.

I had the same problem with few customers, the easist way I found to upgrade VMPro 4.2 if got installed in a different drive is to do a full backup, uninstall VMPro and install the new version on D: or other drive then restore the backup on top of that!

Kind Regards,

It was indeed a new install

It sound logical when you upgrade but it should not ask AND put it on the same place !

So then you have a problem when it does not happen
