I have another thread going but am not getting any help so I will try to explain what is happening a little better.
First we have an OPT61c with Succesion 3.0. The problem is, if I make a call to an outside number and then need to transfer it to another outside number I can't connect. When the transfer button is pressed the call goes to the number that I am transferring to but stays in the conference mode and won't connect when the connect key is pressed. Is this a set programming issue?
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Is your Trunk to Trunk transfer unrestricted on that phone? (Make sure you have FTTU in the CLS)

It was FTTC so I changed it to FTTU. Thank you for the tip but that didn't do it. Any other Ideas? By the way TRMB is in the rdb so I am fairly certain that this a set programming issue.
Thanks

Funny I know someone who is having the same issue today on rls 24 using a 2616. I have been trying to figure this out. Let me know if you get it.

I know FTTU lets me do external to external transfers. I also believe the Nortel tech also configured our routes, but I don't know exactly what. Sorry I couldn't help further.

Don't feel bad, I do appreciate your help but it seems that nobody knows the answer. I have talked to numerous techs and even an engineer in Michigan and can't get the answer for this problem. I haven't give up but all I know to do is get a TAC case open with Nortel to resolve this. If anybody has a suggestion or comment I would like to hear it.
Thanks

will it let you Transfer if the call is an inbound call?

Yes, if the call is inbound there is no problem.
Any ideas?

I had a very similar problem and had to change my trunks from VOD to VCE and that took care of it. Of course I was dealing with T1 trunks, don't know about you.

jjmcc2 did the carrier happen to be running a 5E?

I don't remember. All I know it took me about a week to figure this out and why it did not allow tranfers I can't tell you. I know I have other sites that work with VOD.

Does it have anything to do with the extt and trnx settings in the cdb?

I may be in over my head but you apparently still haven't gotten an answer so here is what i found in the call transer section of the NTPs:

"To transfer one outgoing external trunk to another, both external trunks must have answer and disconnect supervision, and both external calls must be established."

Print your route TN and check for SUPN (i think it needs to be YES)

Again, I'm not an expert. good luck!
