HI! I have a big problem :( I tried to paste text from notepad to text box in Page Maker but If this text was long it was shown in one line :( I dont know how can I change it. I cant resize text box. I can only change width of it but not high. Please HELP :(:(:(

I'm not sure I fully understand - a screen capture would be use so I see exactly what you;re describing.

However, this kind of screwed up composition is often because the "compose to" printer has not been correctly identified or set as the default.

Load up PM but do not open any publication.

Click File -> Document Setup and select the printer which you are going to use. Click OK.

Exit PM and then reload PM.

Now open your PM publication and paste in the text from Notepad.

Is the text box locked, grouped or on another layer?

Is this a new text box - are you pasting the text into an existing text box?

You don't mean frame do you?

> > I paste the text and when I want to see it is in one line

That's also certainly a composition error related to the printer driver associated with the publication.

Can you highlight all the text and then change the font used?

Hi!

I need help! I am trying to open a pagemaker file version 6.5 using version 7.0.1? It keeps on giving me an error message 'cannot open file' 8009-001.

Need to modify my file asap.

Thank you!

Will the publication open using PM6.5?

To be honest, it could be almost anything, though it usually points to some kind of corruption, e.g. font, image or when saving.

Here's the key pages in the Adobe Support KB:

"Troubleshoot publications that won't open (PageMaker 7.x on Windows)"

"PageMaker 6.5 and Later Publication Recovery"

"Troubleshoot damaged publications (PageMaker 6.0-7.x)"
