Problem with Teleworker and changing ISP

We have a SX200IP phone system and a teleworker box to handle 3 remote users. We have been using Lightyear (a reseller of Sprint) for our T1 service for the past 7 years. Teleworker works great.

Now we have just switched T1 providers to Speakeasy and reprogrammed the Teleworker with the new static IP and plugged in the new T1. Now the Teleworker internet connection test fails. And of course we have done reboots. The new router is not blocking the traffic and there is no firewall between the two either. If we program in our old IP from our old provider and plug the old T1 back in then it all works again.

Any ideas? Do we have to register anything directly with Mitel about changing T1 providers?

Teleworker 6000 MAS 7.02.8

Thanks for any and all help.

Jason

First thought is DNS.

Did you configure a value for DNS and if so is it accessible from the new service.

If you did not configure DNS maybe you need to?

Have you tried connecting a laptop to the link with the same static settings and tested access? Ping an external IP Address, Ping a DNS Address.

DNS is not configured and it never was with our old T1 provider and everything worked fine.

We are going to test the laptop idea and then DNS (even though we don't have to do that with our old provider).

Will report back shortly.

Thanks!

Plugged in the laptop and was able to surf just fine. Tried putting in a DNS on the teleworker and no luck. When changing the Teleworker ip information I have to reboot the box. What I noticed on the reboot was the service IPSEC fails to start. The message displays 'no default route' and then another one that says 'cannot find setkey command'. I'm not changing anything other than going through the configure server section which is basically the IP address, subnet and gateway.

Thanks!
