Hi everybody.

I've got a problem with restoring a backup from my DELL DLT V122 Tapedrive. I'm using Arcserve 9.0 on a Windows Server 2003 with SP1.

I can restore the first session of a tape, but the other sessions don't work. There come an error which says:

I tried with the restore wizard, without it... restore by query and so on.

Does anybody have an idea?

start with updating your v9.0 version to v9.01 Sp2, then try again.

regards

Okay, I'll try it tomorrow.
Thanks :)

I can't update to v9.01 SP2.
After installing the update, Arcserve told me that it was successful installed. But after rebooting the system I read in the help popup still Arcserve v9.0!

What I'm doing wrong?

I deceided to update Arcserve with v11.5 instead.
Now, I've got another problem.

When I try to restore data with the wizard I can't see all sessions from a tape.
How can I fix that problem?

Thanks.

I merged the tapes in Arcserve, but I still can't see the other sessions in the restore wizard. :-(

If the option Merge All sessions was used then there are two possibilities.
1) database corruption
2) the sessions are not on the tape
a) run a Scan on the tape to verify the sessions on tape
