Hello everyone, I am a manager in a restaurant which has 2 floors and we have 4 radiant(aloha) pos in the first floor and 5 in the second. 6 months ago we did separate the two floors the first floor its just a bar and the second is the restaurant. so the owner did separate the systems two he got each floor a separate server and switch, but even we have just 4 terminals in the first floor in the BOH you still can see 9 terminals. everything was working fine but two days ago I was working like always and one of them stopped working and kept restarting non-stop, when it restart it launched aloha then it says determining master server after that it says determining local server 0 and it stays like that few second and it restart again. next day it did stop doing it but instead of assigning term 8 like it should be it assigned term4(which is in the second floor) but the menu was different. what I did was plugged a keyboard to that pos and change the comp name to term 8 like it was before and I did change the IP address too, but it goes back and keep restarting and doing what I explained earlier. I reinstall using the SetupTrm.exe and I can see that the file ibercfg.bat has been installed then the system rebooted. after that it restart and keep restarting like I explained before and the file ibercfg.bat is not there it disappeared. I followed the steps of COORSMAN (Add a new terminal) but it did not work. I restarted the server many times and when it restarted, it looks like there is an error it says that the file ctlsvc, exe could not work because ctlfs.dll was not found reinstall the app should solve the problem. please I need help so bad.

check the computer name - should not have a space - should be term8. The term=8 should be in the ibercfg.bat file. If you have 2 servers on the same network check the server name, he default in setuptrm is for alohaboh. Your other computer is something else. When installing aloha on the terminal it asks you for the server name, change it there. I'll check in later.

Cheers,
Coorsman

I did it as term8, both servers are not in the same network. I have turned the other pos off and that terminal did work, I do not understand maybe it's a permission issue. or because that i receive every time I restart the server.

Coorsman do you have any interest in doing Aloha training? My company just landed an few accounts where we will be installing aloha but none of our techs have aloha experience. We would be willing to figure out an amount to pay you to train our techs. We could use gotomeeting or some other remote way for training. Let me know if you are intersted.

Mike
