Problem with realplayer

I recently bought a compaq personal computer for my home.<br>I have real player basic 7.0 installed in it,<br>but I cannot play and listen to my rm files.<br>I get the following error<br>&quot;Cannot open the audio device. Check your system configuration under audio devices - their will be a conflict (probably flagged by a red cirecle with a line through it).  Also try checking Multimedia settings in control panel.
 
I just installed Real Player 7 basic myself.&nbsp;&nbsp;I also had WinAmp and another third party software sound program.&nbsp;&nbsp;I would continually get the same error message you listed until I uninstalled the other two programs and set real player as my default sound player.
