Problem with Proxy

This is an ' interesting ' one thats driving me up the wall!

SBS 4.5, running exchage and proxy (SQL etc services stopped).
Had a DAT drive fail, so swapped out with an identical one.
On boot up, none of the Socks and Web Proxy services will start.
Error in event log relates to w3procy.dll - data is not valid (????)

I've tried replacing the DLL from a pre SP dir, no change,
from the i386 dir, no change ...
Tried stripping out proxy and re-installing (Following rhe white papers on the MS webby), to no avail...

Before I pay MS large amounts of money for tech support,
can Anyone help ??

Check disk manager an see if your drive configuration is the same as before you replaced the DAT.
