Problem with preloader size.

I have created a preloader for all the seperate files on my website.

it works fine on the main page and when using the streaming test in flash. the preloader size is around 4k and then the main movie starts to preload which is fine.

but when I imported the preloader into another movie the preloader scene suddenly jumped to around 25k b4 it appears

which is bad cos the whole movie is only around 35k. and it pauses while it preloads the preloader b4 it starts to preload the actual content.

is this a known bug in flash or have I done something terribly wrong.

What's the content of the movie you're importing it into?

Using components (at that size I doubt that!), attached movie clips and/or sounds and maybe embedding a font?

All of which could increase the size of your first frame, without you're preloader having anything to do with that!

yeah no componants used

the movie loads other pages within its self. must be that.

the main part of the page is static and it loads the content as a movie clip into a loader mc

is there anyway round this so that the preloader loads b4 anything else?

only the preloader is on the first scene. the rest of the page is on scene 2.
