when i create a path in illustrator 10 and i want edit it with the direct slections tool then the path suddenly isn't visiable and i have to find it again by selecting the path that isn't there te see anymore when i've selected it and change options like the color of the path then the path turns visable again. does anybody have this problem and can anybody plz help me
thx in advance

if you make a path with no line and no fill than it logically is not visible. You have to determine the properties of the path befor you make it and/or edit it afterwards. Look on tool bar what is in the line and fill boxes when you are drawing.

yeah know that but i create a line and the line is black and it has no fill and the stroke is set to 1
when i change the form of the line by moving one of the points the line suddenly turns invisable and i didn't even change anything to the colors so that's really strange right?

ok, thats strange
you can try to have a look on appearance tab, look if there is first icon checked ( new art has basic appearance) and if its not, check it....
If it doesn´t work, select the invisible line and look at the parameters, does it still have line assigned or not?

yep it should all word fine
when i select the line and make it a compound path then everything works fine... strange ohwell got my logo done now hope it won't happy to often
