Problem with patches.

I have iPlanet directory server 5.1 and I'm trying to install it on my sun box. The idsktune app that you have to run states that some patches were required to be installed before continuing. So I did that but found that one of the patches had been superseded and that the original was no longer available for download. So I installed the new patch. The problem I have is that idsktune is still saying that I need the patch which has been superseded.

How can I 'fool' patchadd into thinking that the patch it is looking for has been installed?

UPDATE:
Didn't need to do any fooling. The installation went ok so it was obvioulsy happy with the newer patch.

I've been working Solaris and i've difficulty of checking
the build in sound in ultra-10; can any one help me how
to check the sound if working or not
