Problem with password recovery 2900 xl 1

[SOLOSTP]

I have been trying to recover the password on 2900xl swich. I have done the hold the mode button thing down process. The problem I have is that it doesnt give me the opportunity to abort the configuration dialog where I suppose to press "N" when prompt. It never happens. The switch just keeps inializing to the old configurations. SOMEBODY HELP!!!!

You haven't fixed the problem with the config file. It is still loading.

After you initialize the flash:

delete flash:config.old
rename flash:config.text flash:config.old
dir flash:

Make sure config.text is not there. If it still is,

del flash:config.text

reset
