Hi All,

I am new here so sorry if this is a bit basic.
I have several reports written in SCRProf v6 and they all access the same sql db, which we have just upgraded from v6.5 to 2k.

The problem I have stems from the fact that we originally used the 'sa' user with no password to connect to the db, but when we upgraded we changed it to a user 'admin' with a password. I now can't get the reports to run without prompting for the password. I have connected to the db with the correct user and password and then saved the reports, but it makes no difference.

Does anyone know how to get it to save the password or alternatively, how could I pass the password as a parameter?

Any help or comments appreciated.
TIA,

Alan.

When prompted for the UID and PW try checking off the 'Trusted Connection' box.

Thanks for the reply.
It still prompts for the password the next time you try to connect.

Any other ideas? Anyone, please?

What are you using to deploy the report(VB, ASP...)? You should be able to use the SetLogonInfo or LogonServer method to connect to the Dbase.

The reports are just run from distributed Crystal Reports i.e. from the .exe
Could you please humour me and explain how I use SetLogonInfo or LogonServer.

Thanks in advance,

Alan.
