One of my computers just started this and I can't find any solutions after two days of searching, would appreciate any help.
On startup I get to loggin, sometimes computer locks while "loading personal settings", sometimes desktop appears and I try to find problem but after very little time computer restarts. I disabled restart on system failure and have gotten different blue screens almost every time. (eg: bad pool caller 0xC2, irql not equal
0xD1 tcpip.sys) Some lean twards hardware issues, some twards software. Anytime it gets to desktop screen/monitor goes black for a couple seconds every minute or so kind of at random or when I try to open something. Sometimes when it locks at login the speakers start making a crackling sound.
What really has me confused is that EVERYTHING works perfectly fine in safe mode. All hardware, software, network, internet work perfectly in safe mode. So this has me leaning towards a virus messing with a windows file that is not loaded in safe mode but I cannot find any info on it. I've ran Spybot, Adaware, AVG, Panda online, Trend Micro Online, scans in safe mode and found nothing.
Thanks for any suggestions.

AMD barton 2500, Asus A7N8X-E, Kingston 512M, Geforce MX440, Win Xp Pro XP2, AVG anti
No new hardware or software installed recently.

Boot into safe mode then:
Start --> Run --> type msconfig and hit enter

Click on the services tab and check off "Hide all Microsoft services" then click on "disable all". Reboot into normal mode and see if the problem goes away.

I tried the last suggestion. Gets to login screen, while I'm typing in my password it restarts.
? I'm really confused.

I got a new monitor a few months ago. I've since been using a higher screen resolution. Since safe mode has a low res, could this be causing something? Video Card working too much? Its not overheated at least to touch. Why would it just start having a problem with it though? Mind of its own stuff?
