I am updating my servant of applications of Windows NT to Windows 2000, in my old server
I have Macola v7.5.102ci-32 Bits / Btrieve 6.15, the installation made a person who no longer
is in the company and the Btrieve installation disk were lost. I am trying to install Macola with
PervasiveSQL2000 in the new server, but when executing Macola I obtain the message

"You are not registered to run P.SQL".

how I can solve this?

Mustang68:

I think I had this same issue a couple of years ago. Macola will have to provide you with a new registration disk for Macola to work with a P.SQL.

They are not going to want to do this because your version of Macola is no longer supported. Good luck!!

The question here is where did you get the P.SQL 2000 copy you're installing. If you purchased it from Macola, you would get a license disk and they would be able to replace it. The version of Macola that your on, though old, isn't the main issue. If you aren't on current maintenance with Macola, they aren't going to sell you P.SQL or anything else until you bring your maintenance up to date.

I have 2 clients that are running 7.5.102 on a Windows 2003 server without issues. One is running P.SQL 7 and the other is P.SQL 2000.

It is also worth pointing out that if you Purchased p.SQL from another source, it will not work with Macola. You need to at very least purchase the p.SQL reg byte.

As the purchase of this software were done by another person I don't know if it did with the same supplair.

I have 2 CD's and 2 Diskettes:

1 CD with PervasiveSQL2000 v. 7.51
1 diskette labeled like "User count diskette 50 users"

1 CD with PervasiveSQL 2000 v. 7.5
1 diskette labeled like "key disk 50 users 30 days"

I'm using in the installation PervasiveSQL2000 v. 7.51 CD and the diskette with the label "User count diskette 50 users".

In the past to install the Macola client I used to copy just few files with extension .LIC into the system directory "WINNT\SYSTEM"
of my PC's, but I don't know if I have to made it with Pervasive client.

Also I am considering the possibility of clone Btrieve from my old server, is possible to do this?

Are the diskettes from Exact/Macola? You should contact your reseller or log into the customer portal and download an updated license file. Exact can also tell you what version of Pervasive is on your license.
