Hello

I have two Nortel PBX CS 1000 one for each site. I have calls from site to site using SIP trunks.

On site "A" I have a Call Pilot server version 5 already installed and working. I want to configure mailboxes from site "B" so they can use the CallPilot on site "A".

I have configured a mailbox on the CallPilot and it is working, I can leave messages and read them with no problem. My problem is that MWI (Message Waiting Indicator) is not lighting up when I leave a message.

Is it possible to send MWI using SIP Trunks?

If it is possible do I need any special configuration?

Looking forward for all of your comments.

I thought you had to have the NMS Option in the Call Pilot to do this. Do you have that Option?

Thanks for the quick response,

I do not know if I have NMS activated on call Pilot, can you tell me how to check if this option is activated?

Also make sure you have MWI turned on in your D-channels

Mine looks like this

ADAN DCH 252
CTYP DCIP
DES SIP
USR ISLD
ISLM 4000
SSRC 3700
OTBF 128
NASA NO
IFC SL1
CNEG 1
RLS ID 25
RCAP ND2 MWI TAT
MBGA NO
H323
OVLR NO
OVLS NO

also make sure you have identified you're Priv number PNI----it is in the NET Data (ld 21 to print---15 to change)---also in the RDB. The PNI has to match near and far end--use 1.This needs to be programmed in both switches

Thank you for all the advise, I will check each item and let you guys know the results.

Thanks for all of your answers.

I configured the PNI and with that it worked.

I appreciate all of your help and time.
