We have an windows online application for external employees, which uses Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and works over the Internet with A-DSL and VPN (WatchGuard FireBox AND MUVPN-Software). All Port on FireBox are enabled. With some connections there are no problems, but others have problems with the connection to SQL Server. Queries with short result sets (for example 10 records) are no problem, but longer (15 record) bring no result and the application hangs. The application uses an ADO connection with OLE DB Provider for SQL Server. But also when checking the problem with MS SQL Query Analyser, which uses ODBC, the same problem appears. After time out the Query Analyser shows a "Network Error - look at Documentation".

Did anyone had the same problem or has anyone an idea for a solution ?

Thanks for any help.
