Problem with mounting floppy drive

I have a problem here.&nbsp;&nbsp;I mounted the floppy drive using &quot;mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /floppy&quot; and the first time it's ok.&nbsp;&nbsp;But I forgot and mount it for the second time and this time it give input/output errors.&nbsp;&nbsp;And the floppy drive doesn't work anymore.&nbsp;&nbsp;Any advice?<br><br><br>Rgds,<br>Adeline

Because no one else was answering I was just talking you through the obvious things.<br><br>What version of Unix and what hardware are you using?<br><br>Do you have software support for it? Hmm.&nbsp;&nbsp;Hardware problem?&nbsp;&nbsp;If you are running Linux or BSD in a dual boot setup, does the floppy drive work OK with another OS?&nbsp;&nbsp;As I recall, Linux won't let you mount to an already mounted device and tells you that the device is already mounted.&nbsp;&nbsp;Another way to test for hardware failure would be to try to boot from the floppy. <p>Octalman<br><a href=mailto: > </a><br><a href= > </a><br>

Hi,<br>I solved the problem already.&nbsp;&nbsp;Previously I mount the floppy drive without a floppy disk inside it.&nbsp;&nbsp;That's why it returns input/output error.&nbsp;&nbsp;Mike, Octalman, Thks for your guidens.<br><br><br>Rgds,<br>Adeline
