Hello,
I have a rather basic problem with Macromedia Flash MX. I want to make a flash movie with four playing cards changing fluently into eachother. I have pictures (.jpg) of the cards I want to change between. When I play the finished flash movie (after I have put the different cards in different keyframes and selected morphing between them) they just switch, not blend into eachother.

I hope I have made my problem clear and you understand what I'm talking about.

Thanks.

I am no flash expert, but have you setup a tween between the keyframes (like motion tween for example), plus you will also have to convert the jpgs to movie clips within the flash file, and use the movie clips, not the original jpg images, as flash can only animate flash movie clips. But maybe you allready know this.

"Stupid isn't not knowing the answer, it's not asking the question

I use a shape tween and I have tried converting the .jpeg:s to movie clips. It just won't work. When you told me to convert them to movie clips, you did mean right clicking on the imported image and selecting "Convert to -> Movie Clip"?

flash cant shape tween a jpg because it reads it as a solid square and doesnt actually read each individual line in the picture...

in order to get them to morph into each other you would need to go through the lengthy process of redrawing each card into flash using the jpegs as a template...

alternatively you could use the alpha channel and motion tween to have the cards simply fade into one another
