Problem with Min Heigh & css tables 2

I am experimenting with css tables & want to set the minimum height of a cell div but it does not seem to work
I can set a height to a fixed number of pixels but I cannot set it to 100% either

does anyone know if these fuctions are fully supported yet
(testing in firefox V3.5.1 on a fedora 11 system)

Sorted my problem setting the height to full screen

Im sure it is no supprise but this is what i used

body {
	position:absolute;
	top:0px;
	bottom:0px;
	left:0px;
	right:0px;
	min-height:550px;
}

Out of sheer curiosity, have you ever tried giving html element 100% height? It seemed you were ignoring this suggestion from the beginning.

After I implemented this I realised I was miss interpreting what I was reading, i was reading HTML as in my HTML code & not as in the HTML element.
Sometimes you cant see the wood for the trees.

This is why I gave you the star, we may not have agreed on style but your suggestions did help me find my major problem.
