I just upgraded from Approach 97 to Millenium 9.8 to accomodate a new computer - Dell Latitude D600 with Windows XP Pro. A few problems:

(1) clicking on certain data fields results in the field becoming blank, not allowing new data to be entered; clicking out puts the data back. Saving the APR file and then reopening it seems to fix this, but I am concerned there may be a larger problem underneath.

(2) Problem with message boxes - both the Lotus message boxes and messages I have created in macros. Only the title and "Continue" boxes are visible; the text of the message box is not. Any ideas? - Thanks

# 2 is a problem Approach has with some video adapters at high resolutions. Reduce resoltion one notch at a time until msgbox text displays.

I haven't heard of # 1 before but my guess is it's video related too.

Approach has always been "sensitive" to certain video adapters but generally 9.8 is much better than 97. The problems you describe don't occur with all video adapters at high resolutions; see if you can download an updated driver from the manufacturer's web site.

I'm running 9.8 on XP Pro on a Dell Dimension with G-Force 3 video and it's the best combo I've ever used. Years ago I used to have many probs with A97 on W95 and ATI video.

Thanks! Your solution to the message box problem worked. The other problem persists.
