Dear All

My Set up:- 1 AD Domain Controller
1 Exchange Server (Also a AD Domain Controller)

I'm having some worried problems. I found that when I create a new user & it ask me to create a mailbox it looks like its working. But when you go & look for the mailbox in the Mailbox Store section of Exchange Manager its not there. At first I thought it might be a replication problem, but have left it overnight & its still not there. Can any one please help me!!!!

Thanks

Adrian Arran

send an email to that mailbox from another account and it should show up...

easy as that

Sorry mate thats hasn't worked. Anymore ideas?

Thanks

Adrian

and you can send mails to that account?

open it up using owa or outlook and see if it appears

weird weird

When I send an e mail to the account it gets delayed. Here the message I get:-

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.

Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed.

TMB2@xxxxxxxxx.org

Also when I come to open it, it says that the information store couldn't be opened.

Also I have had a look at the setting of the user & found that the Mailbox Rights on the Exchange Advanced only have the SELF group add. But the rest of the mailboxs have a load of other Users & Groups in the list.

Anymore ideas?

Thanks

Adrian

SELF : full mailbox access is default and is okay

can you logon with that user and open up the mailbox? eg outlook or owa?

I can log on as the user but cant open up the mailbox. Its say 'Unable to open your default e-mail folder'. Now that would tell me that the user didn't have access to the mailbox.

Anymore ideas?

Thanks

Adrian

I have a client with the same setup and have had the same problem. I have found that if I restart only the Domain Server, it takes care of the problem. Once I have restarted the Exchange 2000 Server alone, the probem comes back.

I hope this helps.

i suspect RUS not working correctly or not working at all.

maybe look in that direction..
