Hi Guys,

I've an ip phone here configured with this parameters : Ip address => 172.25.1.3, Router =>172.25.1.1, Call Server => 172.16.1.100.

My router 172.25.1.1 knows the route to go to 172.16.x.x subnet and the call server default gateway (172.16.10.1) know the route to go to the 172.25.x.x subnet.

All is good and the phone work properly but :

If I disconnect the phone and then reconnect it, the ip address seem to be jammed in the PBX and I cannot take it anymore even with another extension or with another phone model.

I tried to update to the latest phone firmware version without success and I run the communication manager version 1.3.1

Is anyone know how to release the ip address in the pbx to be able to use it!

Thanks a lot

If you disconnect an IP station without loging it off, it takes about 1,5 - 2 minutes for the Definity to realize that the station is not connected and then to unregister it.

So when you reconnect it, the IP address and station number are still used in the Definity. Try waiting a few minutes before reconnecting the phone, or try to logoff first (hit Mute button & 564633# on the dial pad)

I tried the logoff command (mute 564633#) on the phone but it didn't work.

I also wait few hours before retrying to connect the phone and the result is the same! Discovering on 4612 phones and empty screen on 4620 phones. And if I change the ip address for one who is not jammed, the phone boot normaly and all works properly.

I don't know what's wrong in the PBX.

All my phones are configured with static ip address, and moreover, they can to download the firmware on the tftp server wich is in the same subnet (172.16.1.35) than the Clan + Medpro. So it is not a routing problem, I think the bug is in the PBX.

Does anyone heard something about the 1.8.1b firmware version for IP phones? I would like to try it but only USA supported peoples can have it and i'm in Canada!

Thanks guys!

What version of G3 software is it? Are you running the S8300 or S8700??

BuckWeet

G3 Version: V11

And I don't know how to know if i'm run the S8300 or S8700.

Where I can see that in the PBX!

I tried to reboot the PBX in the week-end and seems to solve the problem of jammed ip address, but I don't know why they jammed and that's the main problem.

Let me know if anyone have something new?

Thanks!

I used a sniffer to catch all packets between CLAN/MEDPRO and my phone!

When I try configure a phone with an bad ip address, the phone and PBX just send GatekeeperRequest and GatekeeperConfirm packets and loop like that indefinitely, but never go on the next H225 steps wichs are the Registration Request and Registration confirm.

Is there some H323 master who can help me!

Thanks!
