PROBLEM WITH ILLUSTRATOR 10 PC Can't open the illustration.

I am getting this error when trying to open a file in Adobe Illustrator 10.xx windows:

Can't open the illustration. The illustration contains an illegal or mispalced operator.
Offending operator: "ter"
Context:
(Conduit Filter) 0 0/Filter ,

(Chain Style Filter) 0 0 /Filter ,
/BasicFilter


How do I fix this, does anyone know, please help me

Was this problem illustration created in Illustrator or something else like Freehand or Coreldraw?

I have created this file in Illustrator, the same version, the same OS, and closed the file and then reopend the file and the error came up, it is only by some files not all files

Sounds like a reinstall of Illustrator is needed. Sorry I can't be of more help.
