When I right-click and select Open In New Window, the new window opens but does nothing. Even if I wait for a couple of minutes, nothing happens & I have to click the stop button and then the refresh button for the page to display.

Nothing's changed in the last couple of days & I've absolutely no idea why this is happening?

Do you?

I've just done a system restore & it seems to have done the trick...

the only thing I can think that caused the problem is a couple of windows updates I installed yesterday.

See if any of this helps. thread608-132319

Try registering all these dlls, by typing:

regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll
regsvr32 MSjava.dll
regsvr32 Browseui.dll

You could make this into a batch file. NOTE that Internet Explorer should be closed during this operation.
