Hi Everyone

I am having problem installing Nortel I2004 phone.
I configure the phone correctly, but now i can not see the 6 lines I have in the office and also I can not dial out, only call extension.

Hope to get any information.

Thanks.

Did you assign the lines to the set and give the D access to the line pool?

Best way is to copy from another set and paste the info you need into your new set's profile.

If you can call internally, it has nothing to do with the IP, it would be the same as running the same type trouble on a digital set...line and pool assignment

Yes I figure that out, but can you tell me how I can assign the lines to the phone?

I don't have another phone to copy the information from.

If you can tell me the steps of how to assign the lines it will be help a lot.

Thanks in advance

You will need to know the line numbers in the system you have the six lines assigned to and the DN number of the 2004 phone you want the lines to appear on.

What kind of BCM is this?

Are there even enough programmable buttons to have all 6 lines appear? It's been awhile since I looked at a i2004 but I don't think u can.

Ok the line numbers I can see on the bc monitor.

The dn number is shown on the phone isn't it?

Ok it can show 5 lines and intercome or something like that.

But I have one more 1 with a KEM, on that one it can show all 6 lines right?

Ok first I want to nake the phone without kem to work after that I will see what and how to make the kem work.
What did you mean by cap?

What kind and software release is your BCM BCM50? BCM400 3.6? BCM400 4.0? different releases programmed differently. You can see BCM monitor...Does it program through Unified Manager or Elements Manager?

KIM (Key Integration Module), is a 24 key add-on that connects to a T7316 phone. A CAP (Central Answering Position) is a 48 key add-on that connects to a M73XX series phone

The DN is the extension number of the phone...we will need that...

It is bcm 50. It programs throu element manager. Is there possibility to program it throu the phone so I can add the lines and everything?
I got kem spexific for the i2004 but when it connects it shows some extensions which I don't have. I have the dn number that is not a problem.

Yes you can program through a phone, but you need to have established a telephone id and password through elements manager first. If you already have access to elements manager, just set up your telephone user id. Then you access phone programming using F**CONFIG - User ID - Password. At that point you are in standard MICS style programming. As far as the KEM...that's probably normal...F*1 and then OK will erase buttons.

How can I create the user in element manager?
And if I don't have access to element manager, how can I program the phone?
Also, when I connect the phone to the network, I can not access the services on the phone.
When I press twice, it gives me function already used what's with that?

I have the user and pass for the element manager, but when I run the application and try to access the bcm, it gives me that I should install some cartridge on the server, so because I am not familiar so much with bcm, I don't know if I should.

You can use one elements manager for multiple systems.

Each system release has different software that may need to be downloaded to your elements manager for it to work correctly, so when you see it needs to download a cartridge, that's a good thing. let it load the cartridge and log into the elements manager.

Once you log into it, you will see two main tabs; configuration and application. almost all your programming is done under the configuration tab, including modifying the user accounts.
