I am having a problem with getting a hunt group routine to work properly.
I have an Avaya IP Office 500 v9 system.

I am trying to achieve the following process. Have 3 receptionists get all incoming calls for 15 seconds. Have all office phones ring if receptionist don't pick up. If after 10 seconds nobody has answered on any phone then have call rollover to auto attendant.

I have set up 3 huntgroups. I have one virtual user set up for the auto attendant.
Virtual user is set up as follows: extension 299. Basic user. Short code is *FWD0 *60=*60 Forward number =0.
Forward is set to unconditional. Forward number is *60. Forward hunt group calls and forward internal calls are checked.

Hunt group 1 is set up with 3 receptionists as the selected users. Ring mode is collective. No answer is set to 15 seconds. Overflow is 15 seconds. Standard hunt group profile setting. Overflow group is set to Hunt Group 2.

Hunt Group 2 is set up with all users selected (except virtual user. Ring mode is collective. No answer is set to 10 seconds. Overflow is 10 seconds. Standard hunt group profile setting. Overflow group is set to Hunt Group 3.

Hunt Group 3 is set to virtual user only. Ring mode is sequential. No answer is set to system default 15 seconds. Overflow is off. Standard hunt group profile setting.

Thanks for any help in figuring this out.

What voicemail do you have?

Meanwhile, the overflow of the 2nd group will never get used in your scenario. The only settings which apply when its being used as the overflow is its ring type and members, all other settings are those of the overflowing group.

I would set the first groups voicemail timeout to 25 seconds and customised the hunt groups leave mail callflow to include the auto attendant.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

I forgot to mention that what happens. The receptionist get the calls as expected. It rolls over to hunt group 2 and rings all phones. Then rolls back to hunt group 1 instead of 2 and rings the receptionists again.
ring rinse repeat.

All of the overflows need to be in the original hunt groups overflow.
As Sizbut stated, an overflow group of an overflow group doesn't work.
