I have a HP 7110 all-in-one connected to a laptop docking station via a self-powered usb hub.

My problem is that when the laptop is removed then replaced in the docking station, the 7110 cannot be seen.

The only way to resolve this is to unplug the 7110 from the hub and plug it back in again.

It is as though the hub/docking station is not remembering the sort of 'USB Dynamic IP address.'

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yep, unplugging the notebook from the docking port is breaking the connection to the printer and it has to be 'refound' each time. Don't think there's anything that can be done other than what you're already doing. The docking station is mostly a 'pass-through' device with the notebook being the main part.

But shouldn't the printer be 'refound' as soon as the laptop is 're-docked'?

Surely, the printer doesn't need to be unplugged and plugged back in??

Where do I get the patch from?

It tells me what the patch does, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to download it...

Or do I need to download Service Pack 4?
