In Visual menu builder, I created a group of all users in order to make the addition of a new menu item easier. Unfortunately, it set the rights of all users to all modules wide open in the process, a behavior I did not expect. Does anyone know what file needs to be restored from backup to fix this or am I going to have to fix every user. It would have been nice if the program had warned me that this was about to happen.

Also, this is a btrieve 2000i install

You should only need the syspass*.btr files in the \\macola75\screens folder.

I created users in Macola 7.6 the same as you mentioned here and i too lost all the individual module security. How can i fix this?

7.6.what? I know this used to work, I suspect someting has been broken, but I need the full version number.

I found doc 04.707.793 on the website today that talks about this issue using sql & pwe & has the script for sql to fix it. Don't know if this happens in btrieve, too. Or if it does how to fix it.

I reviewed this document and it didn't quite fit my problem. My system manager module is off-limits to all but a few users, however, under circumstances I have not yet been able to identify - all my groups and un-grouped users get full access to the SM module. This happens maybe every other month or so. We are using SQL v7.5.103f. Any ideas on what is causing this? Thanks.

SQL 7.5.103f I have experienced the same problem. I have found that you have to be extremely careful in how you drill down to the module detail. I think double clicking on the module to open the detail, might reset security for the highlighted group. Using the icon on the menu bar for detail of module security I have not re-set anything yet... goign to find some wood to knock on.. Strange behavior.
