cant seem to send a fax from a mailbox to a fax machine any ideas

yes i have outdial group this is set up as an outbound pager

I'm reasonable confident that you cannot share the ports for incoming and outgoing and that the outgoing fax must have dedicated ports

It's been a couple of years since I touched one though

I do remember that the docs were quite scetchy

Thanks KwbMitel getting closer seperated incoming and outgoing and it is connecting to fax with outgoing port, but when connecting to fax machine it does not recieve fax. On fax confirmation there is 0 pages sent and it says fax not detected. Have you had this before

No, I've never had any difficulty with the inbound. I would suggest you check your COS options against the docs.

sorry KwbMitel the inbound is ok as i can send a fax into mailbox and to email but when i send fax to a machine it rings fax machine but fax confirmation state 0 pages sent no fax detected

Oh, sorry I misunderstood

To be honest, I've had so many issues with fax outbound that I can't really remember solutions, just that scary feeling that it would break while I was slowly backing away from the system toward the door

The docs suck for outbound. I don't think I've ever got it running without tech support

That being said, try duplicating via offline config, activating and a full shutdown and reboot
