Problem with Fax on a analog POT

Hi,

here is my problem : the fax can dial and send faxes, but it never answers an incoming call !!
If I try to call its extention (213), it never answers (from internal, or external).
I don't understand ...

On the incoming call route, I have set the bearer capability to "Any".
On the user, I have set the external call sequence to "Normal"
And on the Extension part, I have set the CLI Display to "Yes" (--> FSKD, because I'm in France)

Do you have any idea ?

Most likely the ring voltage/current is too low for your fax, have seen that before.

If you test with an analog phone insted of the fax. What happen then? Can you in call status se what extension that is of hoog.
If it is "no user" and the fax is in the konfiguration > reboot pbx.

make sure that the fax machine is set to auto answer also if you can hook up a regular analog phone and answer the call to the faxes extension then the IP Office is doing it's job

Hi,

I've made the test with an analog phone instead of the fax, and there is no problem : the phone rings OK.

I see in call status the fax's extension ringing when I make a call, but the fax never answers itself.
And if me, I answer the call manually on the fax, it's good, I've the call and I can speak/listen the other party.

Why setting the "auto answer" ?

Have you tried changing the Hook Persistency on the extension port to 244? I don't know why exactly, but I always have good luck doing this with fax machines on analog ports.

Seen this before. Set your Caller Display type to 'Off' in the extension properties.
