Problem with Distribution Point

Hi,
I have an issue with a DP in my SMS 2003 environment.
Last week I was informed that a site was being closed and I had to remove this DP which I did.
However I didn't remove the packages on this DP prior to deleting the DP so now I have my SMS_Distribution_Manager component flooded with error messages like these:

"SMS Distribution Manager failed to process package "SMS 2003 Client" (package ID = XX100005)."

- And this is followed by:

SMS Distribution Manager failed to remove package "XX100005" from distribution path "MSWNET:["SMS_SITE=XXX"]\\Server\PACKAGES\SMS 2003 SP1 CLIENT\".
Possible cause: The distribution point might not be accessible to SMS Distribution Manager running on the site server.
Solution: If users are currently accessing the package files on the distribution point, disconnect the users first.

-Does somebody have an idea how to make SMS 2003 aware that this DP is no longer there and how to get rid of these error messages?

Under Site Systems is the server still listed? If so you should remove it and or click on the properties for the server and uncheck the box to use it as a distribution point.
