We have just installed our application at a customer only to find that on their Kyocera KM6230 printer, the reports print out incorrectly (I am told the fonts come out looking like Japanese - I assume they mean symbols or something). When selecting another printer the report comes out fine.

Does anyone know of any issues with CR9 and the KM6230 printer driver and if so of any solutions?

Did you get this one solved? I have a Kyocera Mita KM-5530 and the printer driver is installed on a Windows 2003. I am using the CR10 RDC to display the report in the ActiveX viewer. I am puzzled as to where to start to troubleshoot this problem. I have successfully printed to the printer from word pad so I know that the printer is installed correctly as other windows applications are able to print.

Thanks for any assistance.

No, I have not got it solved yet but I believe it might be due to the printer driver not correctly supporting unicode (only a guess, I don't yet know if it supports unicode or not)

Until you find an updated driver, consider turning on the option of downloading fonts as images.

Ido,

Thank you very much. Your suggestion of turning on the option of downloading fonts as images in the printer driver worked.

Fred

Glad it worked for you, Fred.

An updated driver is still a better option (speed...).
