I need to edit the default scheduled scan on Norton Corporate 7.6. I cannot seem to edit it. I launch SSC, I unlock my server group, and when I right click on the server, I don't get the "All Tasks" to go down the list and edit scheduled scans. Specifically, I need to set exclusions, or just dump scheduled scans alltogether. The only "All Tasks" item I get is when I right click on the Server Group itself, and it only has options for AMS. What am I missing?

P.S. Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

Anybody have any suggestions???

Found the solution, nothing available on this via google, which surprises me, but you can disable scheduled scans via this registry key.

Set Enabled=0 here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\INTEL\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\LocalScans\ServerScheduledScan_1\Schedule

The ServerScheduledScan_1 might be different for what anyone else has, but LocalScans contains all registry data for scheduled scans.

Hi There.. I found a way to actually change the scan time if you want to keep the default scan enabled...

go to the same registry entry that matt directed... then change the following two key entries.

"DayOfWeek"... This is the day it runs....
1=mon, 2=tue, 3=wed, etc
Default set to 1.. Which is Monday

"MinOfDay"... This is the time it runs... Actually goes by the minute it runs... Since there are 1440 Minutes in a Day, you can just pick the one you want it to run on and enter it.

example (1).... The default is 720... there are 60 minutes in an hour... so 720 divided by 60 is 12 i.e... 12 noon (00 or 1440 would be midnight)....
example (2).... I set mine to 120... 120 divided by 60 = 2 i.e... 2AM (840 would be 2PM)

Hope this helps someone
