Hi, when I try to load configuration file from the pcmcia card of my Nortel Passport 8006 (sw release 3.3.4.0)this message appear unsupported file magic 0X230a2320 S_mmuLib_No_Descriptor . Any idea?!?
Thanks
Fede

An unsupported magic number sounds like the file system on the PCMCIA card is corrupt, where the system expects to see a magic number (special identifier) it's seeing gibberish.

You could try reading the card on a laptop but you'll probably get an error there too... once you've either recovered the configuration or given up on the card you could try reformatting it to see if its a hardware problem or just a corrupt file system.

Good luck.

I remember a similar error once although my memory is a little vague.

Did you possibly upgrade code and try to use a config file from older code?

Depending on how many levels up you go...it might not work.

Good luck!!...
