Can anyone help?? We have a standard book structure, 11 chapters in Frame 6.0, double sided, even/odd auto numbering in left & right master pages.

Despite all dialog box settings showing the correct settings, the change bars will not position correctly to the outside margin of the page. They either appear on the right hand side of every page, or the left hand side of every page, but will not distribute to the outside margin on opposite pages as requested.

We have tried all sensible solutions, and some not sensible solutions and have to admit we are stumped. Has anyone else come across this anomaly, and does anyone know how to get round it?

cheers
Neil & Stella

Are you using alternating left and right master pages? Is your document pagination settings reflecting this as well? B I L L S W A L L O W

I have encountered the very same problem as Neil and Stella. I tried the very same approaches and checked Bill Swallow's inputs. I still experience the same problem. Did any of you figure out what was wrong?

I found the answer from someone in the Adobe FrameMaker User's Group. If the inner (binding side) and outer margins are identical, you will see the problem I encountered. I had them both set to 1.0 inches. I changed the inner margin to 1.1 and the outside to 0.9, and the change bars now alternate on left and right pages.
