Hi All,
i am using CR XI , SQL server 2000.
i am trying to save all telephone numbers for a given day,
the problem is that the number sure is above 1000 element.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem of saving more than 1000 number in an array

The array size for XI is 1000, I don't know of any way to overcome this. Have you tried grabbing so much data at a time say from 8 am to 12PM and then running another report to grab another slice of time in the day?

Thanks so much!

Create multiple arrays if need be, and once you hit 1000 move to the next.

However a design which includes > 1000 elements in an array is suspicious, I suggest that you post technical information and requirements rather than stating architecture, as in:

Crystal version
Database/connectivity
Example data
Expected output

-k

Thanks for your interest & time
Here is the Tech. Data:
1- Crystal XI
2- ODBC : odbc driver to a SQL server 2000
3- the report is to do analysis on data
4- it is required to compare between 2 periods (for example), both have telephone numbers and date of call. what you wants to know , is how many telephone numbers in the first period not in the second period and vice versus.
5- the technique i use is to make subreport that filters on the first period and stores its numbers in a shared variable array then on the main report you can search for each number from the second period with the previous array.
6- it works fine, but when i tested on the real data , it crashed because of the array subscript bigger than 1000.
7- the average number of telephone numbers is 150000 per period.
what can i do ?
thanks
